It's a pretty straightforward online classifieds ad,Watch Carnal Cravings (2006) but it has received over 23,000 views and demolished plenty more hearts on social media.

The ad was written by sweet-sounding South Australian man, Ray Johnstone, who has put himself out there to let the internet know he's seeking a fishing mate.

"I'm a widowed pensioner who is looking for a fishing mate," he wrote. "My previous fishing mate is now deceased. I am a land based fisherman. I have all the gear for all types of fish that is required for land based fishing."

Can you feel that? It's the sound of your cold heart melting in your chest.

Johnstone's ad goes on to explain that he's looking for a new friend "in a similar position to myself" and is willing to share all the costs for petrol and bait.

He's even included some gorgeous photos of the surrounding oceans and rivers, so you know you're in for a relaxing time, in picturesque surroundings.

In South Australia? You know exactlywhat to do. Answer Johnstone's ad and take him fishing! Or even just send him a friendly email. Although considering the amount of attention he's getting now, he may very well be out there on the river right now, with a mate in tow.

UPDATE: Jan. 30, 2017, 4:47 p.m. AEDT Ray has found a fishing partner, according to 9 News. He told the TV channel his new friend was "reasonably local," adding "Gumtree called me and told me the ad went viral." It sure did. #IllFishWithRay
